A new monthly virtual forum brings together brain tumour specialists across Southeast Asia to discuss challenging cases, starting 20 October 2026. Clinicians can register to attend, and patients can ask their doctors about submitting their case.
APBTA is delighted to share the launch of the first ever Brain Tumor ASEAN Multidisciplinary Tumour Board (MTB), initiated by Clin A/Prof Yeo Tseng Tsai and Dr Aaron Foo of the Division of Neurosurgery at National University Hospital, with support from Lucence and the Brain Tumor ASEAN Interest Group.
The MTB offers a platform for medical experts across ASEAN to pool their knowledge, experience and expertise in support of complex brain tumour cases in our region. Sessions will be held virtually once a month, bringing together neurosurgeons, oncologists, pathologists and other specialists for multidisciplinary discussion.
First session
Date: Tuesday, 20 October 2026
Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM (GMT+8)
Format: Virtual on Zoom
CME points pending
For clinicians
The MTB is open to physicians only. Please register via the QR code on the e-poster to attend. We warmly encourage you to share this with colleagues in your network.
For patients and caregivers
If you or a loved one is facing a complex or perplexing brain tumour diagnosis, this could open the door to expertise from across the region, alongside the care of your own medical team. Please speak with your doctor about whether your case may be suitable for discussion at the MTB. As sessions are for clinicians only, your doctor will keep you updated on any advice shared.
Together, we hope this brings more minds, and more hope, to every challenging case.
